ROME UPDATE
As we come together in mourning for our Holy Father, Pope Francis, we would like to share some important updates regarding the Papal Funeral and the upcoming Jubilee events for Persons with Disabilities and Persons who are Deaf.
For pilgrims in Rome attending the Funeral Mass for Pope Francis on April 26th at 10:00 AM, please note that the entrance designated for persons who are Deaf or have a disability will be from Piazza del Sant’Uffizio.
Additionally, the Jubilee celebrations for persons who are Deaf or have a disability will proceed as scheduled. No changes have been made to the planned events.
You can view the full schedule for the Jubilee for Persons with Disabilities here.
Details for the Jubilee for Deaf Persons on April 30th are also available online.
The Universal Church joins together in grief at the passing of our beloved Holy Father. For those traveling to Rome and participating in these significant days, we pray for your safety, for open and grace-filled hearts, and for the strength to embrace this sacred chapter in the life of our Church.
In faith and unity,
Easter Greetings
It is with more joy than ever that we greet you this Easter 2025 during the Jubilee Year of Hope.
As we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord, we are reminded of the light and life that Christ brings into our hearts, especially in moments of silence, stillness, and prayer. In this holy season and extraordinary year, we give thanks for the global community of Deaf Catholics and the devoted ministry teams who serve them with compassion, creativity, and faith.
May the hope of Easter renew your spirit and empower your mission. Let us continue walking together in solidarity and service, inspired by the Risen Christ, who calls each of us by name and invites us to proclaim His love in every language—particularly the beautiful languages of Sign.
We send our prayers, blessings, and heartfelt gratitude to all of you who make the Gospel visible and alive in the Deaf community.
Christ is Risen! Alleluia!
